I had a really disappointing experience at the Kings store in Warrnambool. I purchased a PWM solar controller that was recommended to me by Kings staff for my 240W solar setup. After installing it correctly and placing the system under normal sun conditions to charge my battery, the connector on the unit actually melted. This clearly indicates a product failure during normal use, which is why I went in to request a warranty claim. Previously, at a Kings store in Melbourne, I was told this issue would be covered under warranty and that I could bring it back once I had the item with me. However, when I came to the Warrnambool store, the manager refused to honour the warranty without properly assessing the situation. On top of that, the way I was spoken to was rude and dismissive, which made the experience even worse. I trusted the recommendation given by Kings staff, so this outcome is very disappointing. Instead of support, I felt blamed and treated poorly. I would not recommend this store based on customer service. I hope Kings improves how they handle warranty claims and treats customers with more respect.
