I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with this 3000W inverter and with the way the store handled the whole situation. On the first use, the inverter made a loud pop and smoke came out of it. I took it back to the store, they opened a claim, and a few days later I was told “everything is normal.” Nothing about smoke coming out of a brand-new inverter is normal. I went back to the store and explained again what happened. They told me the same thing: “it’s fine,” and even suggested I should “keep an eye on it” and test it outside. That already tells you they didn’t trust the product themselves. I tested it again at home. The inverter failed immediately,And the fault light turned on. I recorded a video and went back to the store for the third time. Then the staff member tried to blame the issue on “low voltage,” completely ignoring the fact that the inverter had already released smoke before. When I asked if they even opened the unit to check the inside, they said they were “not allowed” to open it. So how can anyone call that a real test? This whole experience messed up all my plans . I needed the inverter urgently and had to buy another one in the meantime. I wasted time, fuel, and patience going back and forth to the store only to be told multiple times that a clearly faulty product was “fine.” I returned the inverter within a week of purchase, and the whole back-and-forth lasted two weeks. In the end, I was left with a product I can’t trust and a brand I can no longer rely on. Honestly, this has completely destroyed my confidence in Kings. If a product releases smoke and they still say “just keep an eye on it,” that says everything. Be careful with this brand. My experience was terrible from start to finish.

Lots of useful things, excellent pricing, and good service in case something is not right. However, I do think that they use their customers for quality control; if that was better, they would not need to deal with many replacements I've seen queued up (and my own). But at least they handle that process well and without fuss.

Beautiful and helpful staff! Came into the shop twice yesterday with my father the first time, and my grandfather the second. Not only both times were we greeted and asked if we needed help but both checkouts were super easy and very friendly staff. The first time around we were served by a younger guy, name on the receipt was John. Super kind, easy going and helpful. Left feeling more than satisfied with my purchase and the help that came along. The second visit on the same day, was just as helpful, same staff greeted me and my grandfather and led us to the right area for what we were purchasing. The checkout the second time we were served by Danny. She was so friendly and complimented me, making my day even brighter. Seriously cannot thank all the staff enough for the help! I hope you all feel as appreciated as you made me feel. Retail isn’t always easy but you guys make it look smooth sailing!!

I went to 4WD Supacentre Brendale planning to buy just a few things to start a small setup for my car — you know, fridge, drawer, solar panel, a couple of basics. But Damien, the guy who helped me out, took the time to really explain everything properly. He showed me that if I was already going to invest a couple of thousand dollars, it would make more sense to go for a complete setup that would last me for years. At first, I wasn’t planning to spend that much — I had in mind maybe $1,000 or $2,000 — but I ended up leaving with around $8,000 worth of gear. And honestly, it was the best decision ever. Everything works perfectly, I’ve got a full camping setup now, and we’ve already enjoyed several awesome trips. Even my wife, who wasn’t too happy at first when she saw the receipt 😅, changed her mind once she saw how good the setup turned out. Thanks to Damien’s advice, now a bunch of my friends have also kitted out their cars after seeing mine. If you go to Kings, make sure you ask for Damien — you won’t find anyone better to help you

!!4WD Supacentre Avoid at All Costs!! I recently purchased the Kings Big Daddy Deluxe Double Swag bundle (swag + canvas bag + light & fan) for $158.90 , drawn in by the advertised bundle deal. I only bought it because the items were packaged together for convenient camping use. Following the seasoning instructions, three full sessions with a hose at home, I took it out for its first real use. That night, under very light rain, I woke to a completely soaked mattress and drenched floor. The swag had failed fundamentally, rendering it unfit for its core purpose: providing dry shelter outdoors. This was a clear MAJOR FAILURE under Australian Consumer Law (ACL): the product is substantially unfit for common use, and no reasonable consumer would buy it (or the bundle) knowing this. The defect wasn't from misuse—I did everything right. What followed was an extraordinarily frustrating returns process that eroded any remaining trust: I was told a 48-hour "test" turnaround. After three days of no updates, I followed up, only to learn they couldn't process because the poles "weren't returned." I had returned everything, including the poles. This triggered multiple calls, long holds, queues, and repeated explanations while they "searched." Once resolved, it took two weeks, well beyond their stated timeline for them to assess it and label it a "minor failure." This felt like a calculated move to avoid a full refund, limiting me to repair, replacement, or store credit. Staff resisted returning the full bundle, insisting the bag and fan "weren't defective" and couldn't be included, completely disregarding that these were bundled accessories designed to support the swag. Without it, they're useless to me. The pattern is clear: 4WD Supacentre skimps on product quality (widespread reports of these swags leaking through seams even after proper seasoning) and uses obstructive tactics, delays, misplacement of parts, downgrading claims, and unhelpful staff to deter full refunds and protect profits. I had to research my ACL rights independently and firmly assert them, threatening escalation to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading and QCAT before they finally issued the full refund. Bottom line: 4WD Supacentre's cheap products often don't deliver, and their customer service is structured to frustrate legitimate claims rather than honour them. If they invested in better quality control and fair handling of returns, they might retain customers. Instead, they've lost one permanently and I won't hesitate to warn others. Save your money and your sanity: shop elsewhere. Read independent reviews first, know your rights under the ACL, and steer clear of this retailer. You've been warned.
