I went to pick up an order for my workplace. The female staff member at the checkout told me I couldn't collect it without authorisation from the person who placed the order. She asked me to get the purchaser to call customer service and provide authorisation. Compared to many other stores like Bunnings or Total Tools, 4WD Superstore definitely doesn’t have a simple or efficient process for click-and-collect. Fair enough, at least the person at the call centre was helpful and we managed to get the authorisation letter sent to the store. While I was still on the phone with customer service, a staff member named Dani approached me, not only interrupted my call, but repeatedly told me I wasn’t allowed to call customer service (?). I explained that I was following instructions from the person on the phone. Then, while I was at the checkout sorting out the order, she said to the staff (i'm standing right in front them) not to let me collect the order if I couldn't present ID. Her tone and attitude were just confusing and unprofessional. Overall, the customer service at the Kilburn store is non-existent. I felt unwelcome and hostile, no greeting, no smile, not even a thank you to your customers, really? This was my first time shopping at 4WD Superstore, and it will definitely be my last.
